In-Person – Future Ready Finance Session 1 – Surviving Your First Paycheck (Ages 17+)

Description

Session 1 demystifies what actually happens to the money you get to keep — budgeting, taxes, savings, emergency funds, credit scores, and even the debt traps and scams that catch people off guard. This interactive session, led by Marissa Collins, is part of our Future Ready Finance series that empowers young adults and teens with money lessons that most parents had to learn the hard way.

Expect to walk away with:

  • A real, working budget built around your actual paycheck, not a hypothetical one.
  • A clear read on your first paycheck, so the deductions stop feeling like a mystery.
  • The real difference between a Roth and a Traditional account.
  • Tips for building an emergency fund, even on a starting salary.
  • A clear sense of what your credit score actually means and how to protect it.
  • The red flags for the debt traps and scams.

Seats limited to 12 — register early.
